I had a diagnosis and a price from a clinic at home. The written review that came back explained in one page which part of the diagnosis was solid and which part was not. That alone changed what I decided to do.
The part I had not thought about was everything around the surgery — the visa letter, the transfer, someone in the room who could tell me what the surgeon had actually said. I did not have to solve any of it.
We came for a week of tests and left with a plan and a date. In the system we came from, the waiting list alone would have taken eight months.
